Babylonian calendar - The Babylonian calendar was a lunisolar calendar with years consisting of 12 lunar months, each beginning when a new crescent moon was first sighted low on the western horizon at sunset, plus an intercalary month inserted as needed by decree. Ethiopian calendar - The Ethiopian calendar or Ethiopic calendar is the principal calendar used in Ethiopia. It is based on the old Alexandrian calendar, which is the even older Egyptian calendar, but like the Julian calendar adds a leap day added every four years without exception, and begins the year on August 29 or August 30 in the Julian calendar.
Chinese calendar - The Chinese calendar is a lunisolar calendar incorporating elements of a lunar calendar with those of a solar calendar. In China today, the Gregorian Calendar is used for most day to day activities, but the Chinese calendar is still used for marking traditional holidays such as Chinese New Year (Spring Festival), Duan Wu festival and the Mid-Autumn Festival, and in astrology, such as choosing the most auspicious date for a wedding or the opening of a building.
